Bryson to give keynote at BA conference

Author Bill Bryson has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at this year’s Bookseller Association annual conference, taking place on 22nd-23rd September at the university of Warwick.

The bestselling writer will address booksellers on the main stage at the conference, which this year is inviting delegates to envisage what a “bookshop of the future” might look like, on Monday 23rd.
Bryson, whose latest book One Summer looks back to a "forgotten summer" of 1927 when America came of age, said: “Booksellers are some of my favourite people, and I am pleased to have an opportunity to thank them for all they do."

Cathy Rentzenbrink of The Bookseller and Quick Reads will chair the conference, which will also focus on the consumer launch of the Books Are My Bag campaign.
