Publisher Grasset has brought forward publication of the French version of J K Rowling’s latest novel The Cuckoo’s Calling.
The novel's release date is being brought forward from January 2014 to this October, according to the trade publication Livres Hebdo.

L’Appel du Coucou will appear in France under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, even though it has been been confirmed that Rowling is the author of the book, published in the UK by Sphere in April.

Grasset also published the French version of The Casual Vacancy or Une Place à Prendre, due out in paperback from Livre du Poche on 2nd October.

According to Germany's Buchreport, the German edition is with Random House's Del Rey, and was acquired in February. The publication states that the first edition will be 200,000 copies and will appear "as soon as possible".
