Academic publisher Edward Elgar Publishing has been awarded the top honour of Fox Williams Independent Publisher of the Year Award at this year’s Independent Publishing Guild awards.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, both published by Little, Brown, helped Hachette UK to see "strong" 17.5% sales growth in the fourth quarter of 2016. 
Waterstones
Waterstones is “not in the risk business” when it makes its buying decisions, but is able to be reactive to changes in demand, James Daunt, m.d. of the retailer, has said at the IPG Spring Conference.

Higher sales have pushed profits at HarperCollins globally up 32% in the second quarter of fiscal 2017, compared to the same period in fiscal 2016.
