Awards
The Booker International Prize
announced its 13-book longlist, with the shortlist to be announced on April 12 and the winner to be named on May 22.

The Publishing Triangle will give their lifetime achievement award to novelist, nonfiction writer, playwright, screenwriter, and AIDS historian Sarah Schulman; the emerging writer award to Sarah Perry; and their leadership award to agent Malaga Baldi.

The Western Writers of America's Spur Awards will be given to David Grann's
Killers of the Flower Moon for historical nonfiction, and Jeff Guinn's Silver City for best traditional Western novel.

After talking about expansion for a while, bookseller Shakespeare & Co. tells PW they will open a store of a little under 3,000 square feet in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square this summer, and two more New York stores in the fourth quarter (at 2020 Broadway, and 450 Sixth Avenue).
